Le thé matcha, c’est quoi ?

Il s’agit en fait d’un thé vert dont on a, entre autres, broyé les feuilles. Le résultat est une belle poudre verte, que l’on mélangera alors à de l’eau pour créer une boisson savoureuse contenant 100 % des nutriments du thé vert, et non pas 10 % d’entre eux, comme la classique infusion de thé en sachet. Le thé matcha est aussi apprécié intégré à tout type de pâtisseries.

Et ça vient de sortir ? Pas vraiment ! Les bouddhistes japonais en boivent depuis l’an 1000 ! Ils l’adorent, car ce thé leur permet d’être dans un état selon eux idéal à la méditation. En effet, le matcha contient de la théine mais aussi de la L-théanine (un calmant naturel). L’association de ces deux éléments permet d’être éveillé sans être énervé, apaisé sans être endormi !

Des bienfaits pour la santé

En plus d’être donc une excellente boisson pour le matin, ou à boire avant une séance intense de travail, ce thé possède une longue liste de bienfaits pour la santé. Il est entre autres :

une source très importante d’antioxydants (ce qui lui donne notamment des propriétés antirides),
un booster de métabolisme,
un excellent anti-inflammatoire
un très bon partenaire de sport car il accélère la combustion des graisses.

Choisir un bon matcha

Vous avez goûté et n’avez pas aimé ? Vous êtes peut-être tombé sur un malin imposteur !

Produire un matcha authentique est compliqué et coûteux. Les feuilles de thé passent par de longues étapes avant d’être réduites en poudre. Pour ces raisons, il y a beaucoup d’imitations sur le marché mondial du matcha.

On vous donne trois conseils pour reconnaître un matcha de qualité :

#1 La poudre est d’un vert éclatant ! Si elle est kaki/marron/vert argile, passez votre chemin !

En effet, les buissons de thé destinés à obtenir un matcha authentique ont été couverts d’une toile noire pendant 3 semaines précédant la récolte des feuilles. Privés de lumière, ils doivent produire de la chlorophylle et des acides aminés antioxydants en très grandes quantités. Ce processus est à l’origine de la couleur, l’odeur, le goût et de tous les nutriments du matcha.

#2 Il doit être BIO.

Boire du matcha revient à ingérer la feuille de thé en entier. En dehors des dégâts pour l’environnement, choisir un matcha qui contient des pesticides est dangereux et perd tout intérêt pour votre santé.

#3 Il est produit au Japon.

Les Japonais détiennent le savoir-faire indispensable à la production d’un matcha digne de ce nom, ainsi que les conditions climatiques idéales : des montagnes au climat frais la nuit et doux le jour.
